Theodore M. Parsons' Obituary
Was born to Ada Wilson and Arthur Guy Riel July 19th, 1923. At six years of age he was adopted by Charles and Daisy Parsons of Antiquity, OH. He served in the CCC’s and was a veteran of World War II in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Automotive school in 1950 in Kansas City, MO. While in Kansas City he met and married Mary K. Lyons in 1951. While raising four daughters, he started his own business and just completed his 50th year of T. M. (Ted) Parsons Agency, an emergency standby electric generator company, a business he truly loved. He is survived by his wife, Mary K., his sister, Juanita Trussell, his daughters Kathy (Richard) Miller, Debbie (Jerry) Welch, Linda (David) Patterson and Rebecca (Gene) Reynolds; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both sets of parents and two brothers, Jim and George Riel and sister, Frances. Ted had health problems all his life but after a 5 bypass heart surgery in 1990 he claimed to be retired, which he did not, and up until his death at 84 on May 3rd, 2008 was still selling generators. He was a member of St. John, the Apostle, Catholic Church in Terrell, TX. and an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus.
