Theodore Zaemes' Obituary
Theodore Zaemes was born in Washington D.C. on August 13, 1932 where he lived for most of his youth. He was active in both his church as well as the Boy Scouts where he had the opportunity to usher at both a National Christmas Tree lighting with President Truman and the Inauguration of President Eisenhower. He Served in the Navy from 1952 – 1956. Theodore Graduated with an Associate Degree in electronics from Montgomery College in 1958. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for over 35 years and in private industry for an additional 10 years in Washington D.C., Oklahoma, and Nebraska. He was a member of both the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) and the Society of Airway Pioneers. He married the former Mary Panos of Oklahoma City on January 31, 1960. He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Aspasia Zaimes; sisters Connie Cokas and Anne Haralamos; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Mary; his sons Pete (Jeannie) of Denver and Bill (Georgia) of Dallas as well as his two grandsons: Jacob (Alyson) of Washington D.C. and Theo of Dallas as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Rd, Dallas, TX 75240 or to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2101 NW 145th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73134. Trisagion service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 28 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Rd, Dallas, TX 75240. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 1 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Rd, Dallas, TX 75240 followed by internment at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243.
