Theresa Glenda Panay ( "Tessie" )'s Obituary
Theresa Glenda Panay (“Tessie”) passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2023, with her beloved husband, and loving son, daughter-in-law, sisters, nieces and nephews, and sister-in -law surrounding her. Tessie, as she was known to all who knew her, was born to her dear parents, Estella and Mike Rodriguez on January 8, 1952 and her spirit departed this world on August 18, 2023. Tessie is survived by her husband, Alex Panay, son Timothy Russell and daughter-in- law, Melinda, sisters Mary Roberts, Sylvia Hernandez, and Toni Rodriguez, and sister-in-law Dillian Corbitt, as well as several nephews, nieces, and great nephews and great nieces. Tessie was gifted with a great personality, and a generous and loving nature. She had a great humor and character. She adored her husband Alex, and the dogs they had over the years: Cheva, Samantha, Champ and Ricky Bobby. Alex and she visited Panama, Alex’s homeland. She adored the beauty of that country and talked about returning to Panama but that was not to be. Tessie’s career was in fine jewelry sales. With her great taste in jewelry design and her outgoing personality, she enjoyed helping others select their favorite rings, bracelets and necklaces. Diamonds were definitely Tessie’s best friend. She also admired beauty in all forms: her lovely home, flowering yards, lovely clothing, and perfumes. Throughout Tessie’s illnesses her husband Alex was always by her side and she loved him for his devotion. Tessie knew Jesus Christ as her savior, which is a great comfort to those she leaves behind. We are sad she is gone and that she had to be so sick for much of her life but we are grateful she was ours. A come and go memorial reception in honor of Tessie's life will be held Sunday, September 10th. Alex and the family will welcome visitors from 2:00-4:00 with light snacks, remembrances, laughter in tribute to our wonderful Tessie. The Restland Event Center 9220 Restland Rd Dallas, Texas 75243
