Mrs. Theresa Simpson's Obituary
Theresa Marie Simpson was born on August 1, 1927 at 1:00 pm to the parents of Willis and Naomi Ridley in Kanawha, Texas, Red River County. She finished high school as Salutatorian of her class in Blossom, Texas. In high school she loved playing basketball. Theresa accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by her father. She was re-baptized in 1976 by George Glasker and added to the church of Christ family. She then married Tommy Simpson and they both moved their membership to Prestoncrest Church of Christ under the leadership of George Bailey. Her loves in life were worshiping our Lord as she was an audible witness. She loved cooking for her family and friends. She also loved greeting with a smile and a hug. We as family knew she loved us all. Her parents Willis and Naomi Ridley, her husband, Tommy Simpson, her son Richard Todd Lakes, her brother, Willis Ridley Jr. all preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, daughters, Barbara (Jerry) Cooper of Dallas and their children, Larry (Lynette) Lakes, and Donnell Wright (Asia and Donovan), Lakita Simpson of Oklahoma City and her children, Sir Richard and Madame Katrice, the Hundahl family – she has known this family for well over 40 years where she raised their two children from babies and loved them as her own, Lauren and Walter Killiam and their son, John and Scottie Hundahl and their children of Blair, Nebraska. She leaves to mourn her death, nieces, Jayne (Arthur) Morrison and children, Clint and Candra of Dallas and Joan Smith and children, Stephanie, Natalie, and Nicholas of Paris, TX and nephews, Marcus (Angela) Ridley and Chad Lawrence of Paris, TX. Lennis Hailey stayed by her through thick and thin. She also leaves a host of cousins and many friends. Memorial service will be held at 12:30pm Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Prestoncrest Church of Christ located at 635 @ Preston Rd. Dallas, Texas.
