Theresa (Teri) Ann Butler, Born July 22, 1944, in Marshall, TX. Passed away May 29, 2017, in Dallas, TX. She is preceded in Death by her parents, James Butler Sr. and Bonnie Bess Butler, Husband, Freddie Dotson (KIA in Vietnam), and Husband Danny Wilson. Teri is survived by her brother James Butler Jr. and his wife, Deborah Butler of Dallas, TX, nephews Jason Butler, wife Christina Butler, of San Benito, TX, and Matthew Butler, wife Summer Butler, of Dallas, TX, and Great Niece Ashleigh Butler. Aunt T, as her nephews called her, loved her many cats, and all things Stitch. She was an advocate for Women, Teri was one of the founders and former President of the Texas N.O.W. (National Organization for Women). Aunt T taught her nephews the importance of being kind and considerate to all. She believed in being generous to all as well. Teri,spent her life as an advocate for Veterans. This is because her first husband was killed in action in Vietnam. Therefore, Theresa Ann was a Gold Star Widow. Teri, also worked hard in life to became one of the top paralegals at the Akin, Gump, and Strauss law firms. This world needs more Aunt T’s, Sis’, Theresa’s, and Teri’s. Memorial Service to be held Friday, June 2, 2017, 10:00AM at Three Fountains Senior Living Center, 6011 Melody Ln., Dallas, TX 75231. In lieu of Flowers please make a donation to your local SPCA.
