Thomas Brewer's Obituary
Thomas Brewer, MGYSGT, USMC(Ret), 79, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Thomas was born on July 4, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York where he spent his childhood. After high school, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps. A Vietnam veteran, Thomas served with distinction from 1965-1995. An avid golfer, he enjoyed many outings at his favorite course in Richardson, Texas where he settled after retiring.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife and shipmate of 34 years Jacqueline, son CJ Henson of whom he was so deeply proud, sisters Elva Wallace (John,Jr), Cynthia Smith (Granville, deceased), cousin Valerie Washington, sisters and brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews of whose lives he profoundly touched.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents Joseph Sr. and Elva Brewer, brothers James, Joseph Jr., Dennis and nephew, John Wallace III.
Remembered for being a dedicated Marine, passionate golfer, and a thoughtful and considerate family man and friend, Thomas was known for his caring nature, quick wit and great sense of humor. A truly brilliant spark of light and love, Thomas’s presence will be greatly missed by many.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the USO or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
