Thomas Dale Ferguson's Obituary
93, Devoted husband, father and grandfather, Thomas went home to be with the Lord, his wife and son on October 26, 2015. The sole surviving member of his family of five siblings, Thomas was born to Nellie Shuberg and Fred Ferguson on September 4, 1922. Thomas enlisted in the Army Air Corps and deployed to Europe during WWII during the invasion at Normandy and the occupation of Berlin. After returning from the war he married Maxine Kastner of Wamego, Kansas. Thomas and Maxine were the proud parents of Stanley Ferguson and Lauri Ferguson. They were married over 60 years and Thomas cared for Maxine in her later years sitting daily at her side. Thomas worked for and later retired from the Federal Service as the Director of Human Resources with the Social Security Administration in Dallas, Texas. Thomas enjoyed his cross word puzzles, The Dallas Cowboys, The Rangers and reading and researching the Bible. Everyone who came to know Thomas enjoyed his calm presence and truly appreciated him as “such a sweet, kind man”. Thomas is survived by his daughter Lauri Darlington and husband Jeff and grandchildren, Cheyanne and Seth Darlington of Corinth, Texas. Family will receive friends Sunday, November 1, 2015 one hour prior to the service at 11:00AM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
