Thomas J. Galloway's Obituary
Thomas J. Galloway was born in Burkville, TX on January 10, 1926. He was born to Sam and Emma Galloway. He attend school and completed the 3rd grade. He didn’t allow his lack of a formal education to stop him. He had a gift for Carpentry and utilize his gift to become a master Carpenter. As a Carpenter, he spent his life Building Bridges all over the United States and in Panama City, Panama. During this time, he worked alongside his brother and best friend Jessie Galloway. Mr. Galloway, also, served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After the war he meet and married Christine Lewis. Added to this union were five children. Thomas and Christine settled in Hamilton Park in 1963, to raise their family. They were married for Sixty-two years and remained together until his death. Mr. Galloway had two passions, his family and Education. He made certain that his children and grandchildren took advantage of the educational opportunities that he was not given and he always took care of his family. His famous quote, “A man got to do what he can do until he can do what he wants to do for his family” and favorite song was “Patches”, both attribute to his dedication to giving his family the best he had to offer. After they retired, you would usually find Mr. Galloway and his Wife sitting on the porch together, one of their favorite things to do while passing the time away.Thomas is proceed in death by his parents Sam and Emma Galloway. His sister Hannah Jerusha (Aunt Sis) and brothers Nathaniel, Willie, Jessie, James and Matthew Galloway. He leaves to cherish his memory wife Christine Galloway. His son Thomas J. Galloway Jr (Bud), daughters Lily Lewis, Toni Galloway-Kelley, Monica Galloway-Coleman (Jeffrey Coleman) and Verlancia Galloway (Heidi). Thomas Galloway was instrumental in helping with his grandchildren. Racey and Jasmine Hoskins, Rashad Galloway, Justin Crowder, Jarryd and Jordan Thomas,Lauren, whom he called Lawrence, Antonio (Big Man) and Ashley. His numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews, held a special place in his heart. There will be a funeral service for Mr. Galloway on January 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Restland Memorial Chapel.
