Thomas Whitley Gay Jr.'s Obituary
GAY, JR., THOMAS WHITLEY passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Whitley Gay, his brother, John Banks Gay, and his sister, Amy Appleton Gay. Tommy Gay was born in Dallas, Texas, December 4, 1938. “Tommy” attended St. Mark’s School and graduated from Oklahoma University in 1960 where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He went on to become a successful entrepreneur and real estate investor. He is survived by his son, Thomas Whitley Gay III, his grandson, Alexander Thomas Gay, and his sisters, Susan Gay Millet and Ellen Gay Thompson. The family will receive visitors for the viewing in the Main Building at Restland Funeral Home at 13005 Greenville Avenue on Sunday, March 10, 2013, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be in the Wildwood Chapel on Monday, March 11, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice .
