HYNES, THOMAS GERARD born August 19, 1921 in Berkeley, California passed away October 4, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur G. and Gladys Hynes; and son, Richard G. Hynes. Thomas is survived by his wife of 71 years, Imogene B. Hynes; daughter, Judith Hynes; son, Chris Hynes and wife, Cheryl; daughter-in-law, Jane Hynes; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Thomas served 6 years aboard the USS Hornet in WWII. He retired from AT&T after 40 years. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Restland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to VNA Hospice of Texas or charity of your choice.
