I am so sorry for your loss. I hope all your memories of him will make his passing easier for you all.
Dear Liz and Family, please accept our sincery condolences on this sad occasion. I only met your father once, but he was such a character that he left a lasting impression. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Ines and Family.
To Mr. Johns' family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I grew up across the street from "Mr. Johns". My family always called him Mr. Johns. He was a huge part of my childhood–my neighbor for 13 years! I will never forget him. Mr. Johns' character, kindness and giving nature will undoubtedly live on forever in many hearts and certainly in my own.
The sparkle in his eyes, the naughty laugh, the great sense of humor, and the extraordinary kindness will be missed. Tom Johns has been a wonderful friend to our family. Tom was the leader of our neighborhood. He brought people together and enhanced the way we lived. When my daughter was born, he let the neighbors know by hanging a piece of her clothing on the flagpole. He monitored the lava rocks in the beds of his house and the house behind him to make sure that the kids weren't taking them. The park became revitalized when Tom became the President of the homeowners' associatioin. Our neighbors started to use the park again…swimming, tennis, playgrounds, basketball. Tom made our neighborhood "neighborly," as it transitioned from original homeowners to new families moving in. We will miss hearing Tom say, "now, Mama." We will miss the gleam in his eyes and his quirky sense of humor. We will miss the stories. We will miss him in the role of mentor for our kids. We will miss him as our dear friend. Our thoughts are with the family. We are so fortunate to have such wonderful memories. Love, Peggy and Dave Millheiser I hope that Tom and Mei Ling are together, this time having fun.
Dearest Liz, I am so sorry for your loss. He was such a wonderful man. I will always remember our dineer at the Mexican Resturant together. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I love you, Tina
I am so very sorry that your time here with your husband/father/grandfather is over. I know that you will look forward to the time when you can all be together again. May our Heavenly Father comfort you in that hope as you mourn the loss of "Papa Tom." Carolyn and Raymon Collinsworth
