Thomas Joseph Shea's Obituary
Thomas J. Shea passed away early on Monday morning July 3, 2017 at the age of 80. Tom is remembered as a wonderful man, who was strong and masculine, yet had a sensitive side. He was a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather, and touched the hearts of many who came in contact with him. He will be sorely missed by all. Tom was born to Joseph and Charlotte Shea in Queens New York, and raised in Brooklyn. He served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. Following his military career he became one of New York’s finest where he was police officer for 12 years. The last twenty years of his working career were spent in the security department at Harris-Euless-Bedford (H-E-B) Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents and beloved sister Barbara Ann McDonald. Tom is survived by his wife of 36 years Robin Reed Shea, four children, Cindy Chongvilaivan and her husband Bruce of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Linn Wilder of Haltom City, RJ Shea of Euless Texas, Eric Shea of Norfolk, Virginia and eight grandchildren: Bonita, Danielle, Victoria, William, Dale, Haley, Holly and Alexa. A memorial service will be held for Tom at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery on Saturday July 8, at 12:30 p.m. The family will be there to greet relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
