Thomas Keith Levy's Obituary
Thomas Keith Levy went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 9, 2008, after a brief illness. Keith was first and foremost a faithful servant to God, but also a wonderful husband, father, brother and son. Born in Anson, Texas, September 7, 1922, Keith attended Texas Tech University for two years before joining the United States Navy and serving as a radioman in World War II. After completing his service to his country, he went on to graduate from the University of Texas with a degree in Geology. Keith was married to the love of his life, Norma Thomas on November 24, 1949. Keith worked for 33 years as a geophysicist for Exxon before retiring in 1982. His successful career led him to Oklahoma City, Elk City, Amarillo, New Orleans, Houston, Midland, and Plano Texas. He retired in Plano for 16 years, and later relocated to Granbury, Texas for the last 9 years. However, his life was center around Jesus Christ and sharing the gospel at every opportunity. He served as an elder at Westbury Church of Christ, Houston, Texas; Golf Course Road, Midland, Texas; and Pitman Creek Church of Christ, Plano, Texas. Keith’s passion was in oversees missions making numerous trips to establish churches in Brazil and Lithuania. He also was active in the World Bible School teaching correspondence courses to students all over the world. Survived by his wife, Norma Levy, Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Wahna Rollins, Phoenix, Arizona; sister, Eva McDaniel, Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Jan and husband Richard Duke, Sapulpa, Oklahoma; son, Tom Levy, Austin, Texas; daughter, Suzanne and husband Stan Phillips, Fort Worth, Texas; foster Son, Luis Pinto, Dallas, Texas; grandchildren: Lauri Warren, Cade Gross, Lindsey Phillips, Logan Phillips; and great-grandchildren: Emily Warren and Eilidh Warren.
