Mr. Thomas Warren Lively's Obituary
Thomas Warren Lively was born in Dallas, Texas on November 9th, 1946, to Ruth Ann Lively and Thomas H. Lively.
He attended the St. Mark’s School of Texas, Class of 1965. He then
attended the University of Texas at Austin. In later years he served on the
Board of Trustees of St. Mark’s School.
He studied law at California Western School of Law in San Diego. During law school, he had an internship with the Public Defender’s Office, and decided to become a criminal defense attorney. He handled state and federal criminal cases, made arguments before the Fifth Circuit, and filed a case with the United States Supreme Court. He had a passion for Constitutional Law, which he continued to study with a small group of friends. He led with fairness and was fiercely loyal to those around him. He would often take on pro bono cases because, at his core, he wanted to help people.
His greatest accomplishment was his role as Dad. He was known far and wide for his sausage biscuits.
He is survived by his beautiful wife Eleshea, daughter Laura (husband Ryan), son Chris (wife Suzanna), grandchildren Jackson and Lily as well as niece Jennifer Lively and the many, many cousins of the Hunter clan, where he and his family spent almost every holiday. He will be greatly missed and deeply treasured.
