Thomas Edison Neves' Obituary
NEVES, THOMAS EDISON, of Arthur City, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013. Tom was born in Jermyn, Texas, April 26, 1920. Tom met his wife, Rebel, of 71 years, when he was in the second grade. They married when he was 19 years old and had two beautiful children together, Michael and Cynthia. After serving his country in WWII, Tom began his career with Kraft foods as a salesman and eventually became President of Breakstone foods in New York City. They lived in many places throughout the country, but they always thought of Texas as home. Tom and Rebel retired and moved to Arthur City in 1980. They settled into country life, enjoyed ranching, traveling and never looked back. Tom is survived by daughter-in-law, Linda Neves Willis and husband Donald; grandchildren, Christi Parent and husband, Lt. Colonel Scott Parent, Lauren Saucedo and husband, Antonio, Nick Kemnitz and wife Dilara; great-grandchildren Christian Parent, Aubrey Parent, Alexis Parent and Santiago Saucedo. Tom joins wife Rebel, son Mike and daughter Cindy in heaven. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in Restland Memorial Park.
