Thank you for sharing about that amazing day at St. John. I know it was one of Chip’s best days too. He has requested that his ashes be scattered in those beautiful waters. He was crazy about all of you and that fabulous place.

Chip was a great friend from high school, college and beyond. He was fun-loving, witty, and so smart. We could always have great conversations on holidays home from school and then at class reunions later on. Chip was one of those friends that I knew I could call and talk to about anything even if many years had transpired. I will miss the fact that he is no longer here. Rest In Peace, old buddy.

Chip worked for my mom and dad (Frances and Paul Blair) at Portland nursery around 1966 or 67'. I worked with Chip planting grass and landscaping together. He was such a great guy and I LOVED working with him.
I remember one day we were planting a yard in East Cliff and he said to me you do the back yard and I'll do the front and whoever finishes last has to buy the other a coke so naturally I did the back yard quicker not knowing he was taking his time to lighten his load and didn't mind buying me a coke at all which he did. LOL Chip was a very responsible and hard worker and my dad really liked him. This news really saddens me even when I haven't spoke with him in years. Missy was the sweetest girl in school from elementary through high school and never had an enemy. I really miss those kind of friends. RIP Chip and I hope to see you in Heaven.
My deepest condolences to the family of Chip. I am so sad to hear of your loss. I remember Chip fondly as the “big brother” at the Newton’s home! Loved the whole family!
I am so very sorry to learn of Chip passing. I knew the family for many years. Prayers for his family.
One of the best days of my life was spent with Chip and his family. Chip met Dale Greer, Bill Hamilton, and me on the dock when our cruise ship arrived in St. Thomas. Chip then took Us to a ferry and we met his parents and lovely sister Missy on St Johns. They treated us to a beautiful day of snorkeling in pristine reefs and general revelry. A wonderful celebration of our Graduation and State Board exam.
