Thomas Lee Proctor's Obituary
PROCTOR, Thomas L. departed this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Dallas, TX. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on January 06, 1931, to Thomas E. Proctor and Georgia (Moon) Proctor. On August 4, 1951 he married the love of his life, Anita Lee Watkins, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Thomas received a Bachelor of Science from University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin in 1953. Thomas served as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army in Yokohama Japan during the Korean War. Thomas began his career with Ortho/Chevron Chemical Company and retired from Velsicol Chemical Company as a Regional Sales Manager. Thomas was active in the church as a Sunday school teacher and a Deacon and also served in a wide variety of charitable organizations over the years. He also enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and spending time with his children. Thomas was preceded in death by his father and mother, mentioned above. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 63 years, Anita Lee Proctor; his brother David Proctor of Dayton Ohio; his four children, Tom Proctor of Garland TX, Tim Proctor of Richardson TX, Terri (Proctor) Legband of Pflugerville TX and Todd Proctor of Garland TX; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many friends. Thomas was a 57 year member of the Masonic lodge and a 32nd degree Mason. The family would like to express their gratitude to Cynthia Buentello, Social Worker and the entire staff at Doctors Hospice Dallas for their excellent medical care; and Senior Minister Ron Key of Cornerstone Christian Church for his faithful support to the entire family. The service for Thomas Proctor will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 12:30 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Christian Church (2727 I-635, Suite 216, Dallas, TX 75234) or Meals on Wheels.
