Words can not summarize what Mr. Thomas did for me my two years at Carpenter Elementary. He was there for me from the day I walked into the front door with anxiety to begin my principalship and even after I walked out the door to explore different avenues. Mr. Thomas was a kind-hearted, giving, caring person that brought joy to my heart. I love you & will miss you!!!! I thank God for allowing our paths to cross. I will see you on the other side. "God has let another angel through his pearly gates!"

Mr. Thomas often made my day at Carpenter. He was always aray of sunshine waiting with a funny joke or story to brighten our day. It didn't have to be a special occassion for him to shower us with gifts because he shared everything he had. He made sure to take the time to make all of the ladies at Carpenter feel special on our birthdays, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day with small gestures of thoughtfulness even when the husbands didn't. He was a great person,friend, and co-worker. He will truly be missed and we were blessed to have had him in our lives. Watch out Heaven here he comes to tickle you right out of your wings!!!!

It is so hard when someone leaves this earth to go home. The ones of us that are left behind miss them so very much even though we know they have gone to a far better place. The next few months for you, Carolyn, Cindy and Billy will be so hard and a piece of your heart will be empty. Fill that space with all the good memories you can find and in time, that hole will become a little bit smaller and those memories will fill your heart. In the end, those golden memories are all we have left. Tommy will always be a part of your lives and will be kept alive through many generations. I have always felt you were my family too, through Nancy and Larry…I certainly count Nancy as my sister.
