Thomas Henry Wall, 80, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on March 10, 2019.A Memorial Service for Tom will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 10am in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, in Dallas, Texas.Tom was born on August 6, 1938, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Maura and Zoie Wall. Tom graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, West Virginia, and graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as a regional sales manager and retired in 2003 after 40 years of service. The family settled in Texas in 1979, after many moves including stops in Cincinnati, Ironton, and North Canton, Ohio; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Huntington, West Virginia. Tom was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he is considered a hero by those who love him. He supported his daughters with his encouragement and love; he enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, and napping with the family dogs; and he will be remembered for his good humor and his strong work ethic. Tom was a Christian and a member of both Baptist and Presbyterian congregations and served as a deacon in the Presbyterian Church. Tom was married to Nancy Wall for 58 years. He is survived by two daughters, Kim Dugan (Jim) of Garland, Texas, and Tracy Hood (Steve) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; two sisters, Adele Mandeville (Bill) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Barbara Husk of Gainesville, Georgia; and his brother-in-law John Dellinger (Judy)of Plymouth, Michigan. Tom has two grandchildren, Thomas and Tyler Dean and two step-grandchildren, Rivers and Anna Claire Hood. He is survived by ten nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Julia AnnButler. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice. Tom was interested in charities including animal rescue (Operation Kindness), veterans organizations, children’s hospitals, and research organizations studying diseases of the lungs.
