Thomas O'Dell White's Obituary
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Thomas White, devoted father and friend to all who knew him. He left us peacefully to be with the Lord, at his residence with family on Friday, August 30th, 2024. He treasured his family and friends, embraced every minute and would do anything for them. He was a dedicated husband to his wife Shirley. They were married for over 63 years and the deep unconditional love they had for each other was a rare find. He was a wonderful father to his two daughters and the sweetest papa to his two grandkids.
He had an easy-going spirit and loved to tell jokes to make people laugh. He enjoyed fishing and hunting at his farm in Sulphur Springs, TX, playing songs on the harmonica, and going to the movies.
He worked for AT&T for 42 years and proudly served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughter Tina Morton and son-in-law Richard, daughter Lisa Cowen and son-in-law Rick, two granddaughters, Lexi and Zoe Cowen and sisters Irene Darrow and Imogene Bush. The legacy of his unwavering love, faith in God and caring spirit will live on through all who knew him. He will be missed and will forever be in our hearts. Please join us for a celebration of Thomas' life which will be held September 8, 2024 in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland funeral home, Dallas, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am followed by a service at 10:30 am. Interment will follow.
