Thụy Anh Nguyễn Meinschein's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Thụy Anh Nguyễn Meinschein
September 5, 1949 – February 26, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Thụy Anh Nguyễn Meinschein, who left us on February 26, 2026, at the age of 76. Thụy Anh was a radiant light in our lives: a devoted daughter, a fierce protector of her siblings, descendants, and extended family, and a compassionate listener to her friends.
Thụy Anh was born on September 5, 1949, in Vietnam to the late Tu Nguyễn and Dr. Ái Thụy Nguyễn. A woman of deep intellect and faith, she earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Vietnam before immigrating to the United States in 1979. In 1983, she wed her late husband, Mark Edward Meinschein; together, they founded and served as the heart of the Rays of Hope Ministry—formerly known as the Soul Patrol. They dedicated their lives to building both a loving home and a vital foundation of community support in Lancaster, Texas.
Their organization, Rays of Hope Ministry, served as a lifeline for families in need. Through this ministry, Thụy Anh mentored and supported thousands children of all races, demonstrating that love and compassion transcend all boundaries. Honored as RBM’s "Mother of the Year" and deeply committed to supporting the unhoused, her legacy is defined by her profound service to others.
She is survived by her two siblings and their spouses, four nieces and nephews and their spouses, four grandnieces and grandnephews, adopted and godchildren, and the thousands of “children” whose lives she touched, inspired, and transformed.
We are deeply grateful for the years we shared with her and for the overwhelming support of friends and family during this difficult time.
