Tim J. Harrington Jr.,'s Obituary
HARRINGTON, JR., TIM J. passed away at his home in Dallas, Texas on October 30, 2012 at the age of 58 after a long battle with cancer. Tim was born on October 23, 1954 in Evergreen Park, Illinois to Mary and Timothy John Harrington, Sr. Tim grew up as one of six children in Chicago. He attended Loyola University where he majored in history, and then went on to study law at the John Marshall School of Law. Tim became a well-known litigation attorney, eventually working as deputy general counsel-litigation for Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., and as vice president-litigation for Lycoming Engines. Tim was not only an esteemed litigator, but also a dedicated and loving husband and father. In early 2005, he met the love of his life, Sharon Hancock, and on September 3, 2006, they were married. Tim and Sharon united their three daughters, Cassidy Harrington, Brittany Harrington, and Sarah Martin Hall into the Harrington family. Tim was a great supporter and mentor of his children in addition to being a wonderful husband. Tim is survived by his wife, Sharon Harrington; his daughters, Cassidy Harrington and Brittany Harrington; his stepdaughter, Sarah Martin Hall, and her husband, Brandon; his brothers, Bryan Harrington and Ken Harrington; his sisters, Mary Therese Selfridge, Peggy Marz, and Joan Lauer, and many nieces and nephews. Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Timothy and Mary Harrington, and his daughter, Mackenzie Harrington. The family will receive friends on November 5, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A service will be held in Tim’s memory on November 6, 2012 at 12:30 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
