Timanda Carol Conner Landrith's Obituary
TIMANDA CAROL SHIELDS CONNER LANDRITH Timanda was born in Bryan County, Oklahoma on January 24, 1946 to James Thomas and Mildred Shields. She passed away in her home in Royse City, TX on May 12, 2009. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Truman Landrith; she is survived by her two sons, William C. Conner, Jr. of Royse City, and Richard A. Conner, his wife, Jean and their two sons James Thomas Conner and Ryan Patrick Conner of Mendota, Illinois; her siblings, Tom Shields of Katy, Texas, Sam Shields of McKinney, Texas, Marie Burton of Allen, Texas, Lavern Kirkpatrick of San Benito, Texas, Mary Barbee of Sterling City, Texas, Billie Hoard of Heath, Texas, Bennie Shields of Palestine, Texas, Sandra Martin of Richardson, Texas, Rocky Shields of San Antonio, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Timanda was a 1963 graduate of Plano High School and was crowned Miss Plano in 1962. After high school she went to work for Texas Instruments. She retired after working 30 years for TI and Raytheon. She spent her retirement time gardening, canning, sewing and fishing. Her greatest satisfaction came from doing for others and sharing her jams, jellies, pickles, etc. with her family and friends. She and her late husband Truman were active in the Special Olympics. They enjoyed sponsoring children each year and watching them compete. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
