A Celebration of Life Services will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017, at 11 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Tim grew up in Mesquite, Texas, where he attended North Mesquite High School as a part of the graduating class of 1982. He then attended Eastfield College before going to work for the U.S. Postal Service as a Letter Carrier on March 30, 1985, where he worked until his passing. Tim married Amy Denise Wright on November 11, 1989. In January 1992, Tim and Amy welcomed their first son, Connor Monroe, to their family, who was then followed by their second son Dylan Blake in December 1994, and completed their family with the birth of their daughter Courtney Nicole in February 1997. Tim adored his children and would brag about them to anyone who would listen. He helped coached numerous baseball and football teams for his sons and participated in dance recitals as a part of the “Dad’s dance” (where he loved to be the center of attention) for his daughter. Tim loved all sports, especially baseball, football, and golf. His favorite memories were from watching his children, nieces, and nephews participate in their various sports, and was sad when the “Friday Night Lights” chapter of their lives were over. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors in nature fishing and camping. Tim had a soft spot for animals and was known to occasionally carry treats for the dogs along his mail route. Tim had a great love for his extended family, as well. He looked forward every year to family reunions where he was able to spend time with his aunts, uncles, and cousins, whom he dearly loved. We take peace and comfort in knowing that Tim is at home today with the Lord. He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior while he was in high school, but publicly proclaimed his decision through baptism in 2006 on the same day as his daughter, Courtney.
