Timothy "Paw Paw" Gatson's Obituary
Timothy “Paw Paw” Gatson was born in Henderson, Texas on September 5, 1930 to the parentage of Albert Gatson and Stella Mae Hurd. He graduated from Henderson High School and he served in the United States Marin Corps. Retired from Dallas Independent School District in 1997. He Married his wife on October 13, 1956. He was a faithful member of Praise Temple CFC for over 19 years, as a Deacon, and served in the Praise Temple Brotherhood Department. He’s preceded in death by parents, & son, Timothy Michael Gatson. He leaves to cherish in his memories; A loving wife of 58 years, Shirley Gatson and two daughters, Deborah (Curtis) McClure, Sharon (Ricky) Gatson Thomas; grandchildren, Cameron Gatson, Candace (Jamie) Smith, Tarina (Reginald) Burns, Brandon (Quita) Pero, Sheena Pero, Phylicia Gatson, and Aaron (Ashley) Shannon; 8 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Honorable mentions, to his friend at the Hamilton Park Civic Center and his Bellafonte neighbors. The wake for Timothy Gatson will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service for Timothy Gatson will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 11, 2014.
