Timothy Salley's Obituary
Timothy D. Salley was born November 13, 1959, to Robert & Margaret Salley of Mobile, AL. He passed away on March 26th, 2021 at the age of 61 in Tyler, TX. He bravely fought COVID-19 but succumbed to complications after recovering in the hospital for nearly 2 months. His joyful smile, flirtatious jokes, and kind heart will be remembered by all who knew him. He was selfless and generous, went above and beyond to help those in need, and demonstrated his love of Christ to all who knew him through his actions and words of kindness.
Tim graduated from B.C. Rain High School in 1977. He loved to play baseball and is remembered for his impressive pitching arm. He attended Southwest State Technical College and worked as an Automotive Technician for nearly 45 years. He was recognized as a GM World Class Master Technician. As well as maintained his ASE certifications religiously. In recent years, he had begun building his own home in Mabank, Texas in honor of his father, a skilled carpenter.
He is survived by five of his siblings: Daisy, Donna, Dale, James, and John; his three children: Timothy Jr. (Jennie), Robert (Hannah), and Meghan (William); and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Margaret Salley, and two older brothers: Robert Jr. and William.
He will be honored with a small ceremony on April 12th, 2021 at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
