Tina Margaret Brooks-Lupplace's Obituary
Tina Margaret Roe Brooks-Lupplace passed from this world on July 2,2016. She was 91-years-old. She was born on December 18, 1924 in Manor, Texas to the late Lillian and Eugene Roe. Tina attended high school in Austin, Texas and started college at the University of Texas, but decided to leave school and work due to a shortage in the workforce during World War II. She spent many years as a church secretary and retired from the JC Penney buying office in 1980. In 1947, she married Lloyd William Brooks, who preceded her in death in 2005. They were blessed with 57 years together and three children. Tina enjoyed collecting glassware, machine knitting, watercolor painting, fishing, traveling, church activities and spending time with family and friends. She loved to be with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed a wonderful life. After the loss of her husband Lloyd, she was blessed to marry a wonderful man, Myles Lupplace in 2009. He preceded her in death in 2015. She is survived by her son, Dr. Lloyd W. (Barbara) Brooks, Jr., of Aledo, Texas, and two daughters, Jan (Scott) Homesely from Mansfield, Tennessee, and Pam (Harold) Duty of Terrell, Texas. She also is survived by seven grandchildren, Brooke Homesley Greene, Joni Homesley Boyd, Erin Homesley Booth, Parke Homesley, Kelly Starling, Kirsten Starling Mackie, and Austin Brooks, nine great grandchildren with two more to be born soon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd, and second husband, Myles, two brothers and a sister. We will celebrate her life on Tuesday, July 5th, at the White Rock Church of Christ, 9220 Ferguson Road, Dallas, Texas 75228 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be before the funeral starting at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be immediately following the service at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243. Memorials may be made to White Rock Church of Christ or the charity of your choice.
