Tinnarkorn Ruangrit's Obituary
Tinnarkorn “Tinky” Ruangrit died unexpectedly in Richardson Methodist Hospital on April 1, 2017, in Richardson, Texas at the age of 67. Tinky is survived by his wife Chantana Jana Ruangrit, daughter Bunyaporn Bonnie Toronjo and her husband Mark Toronjo, and his grandchildren Alexandria Serenity Toronjo and Marcus Xavier Toronjo. He is preceded in death by mother Daungkae Ruangrit and father Krajang Ruangrit in Bangkok, Thailand. Tinky was born on 28 Feb 1950 in Bangkok, Thailand to Daungkae Ruangrit and Krajang Ruangrit. He graduated from UT Arlington with a degree in Graphic Design. He married Chantana Ruangirt, the love of his life in 1992. After moving to Norman, OK, Tinky began working for Othello’s as a pizza chef. Tinky welcomed Jana and Bonnie into his home they made a life together. In summer of 1994 Tinky and Jana opened Jana’s Restaurant, and together they made this business a success. In 1995 Tinky suffered liver failure and was subsequently one of the first patients in the country to receive a transplant. He was able to live a full life for over two decades. Tinky was accomplished at the arts and cooking. He was a generous, funny and easy going individual who loved his family, friends, OU football, and life. He loved his wife, daughter, and grandchildren. A memorial is scheduled for Saturday, April 8, 2017, 6:00 PM at Buddhist Mediation Center, 8484 Stults Rd, Dallas, TX 75243. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tinky’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to his grandchildren Alexandria or Marcus Toronjo, please email btoronjocst@gmail.com for the address.
