Todd Davis Miller's Obituary
Todd Davis Miller, 42, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2009. He was a kind, forgiving and loving Christian man. He was a 1984 graduate of Dallas Christian High School and a 1988 graduate of Abiliene Christian University. He was a life long member of the Prestoncrest Church of Christ, serving most recently as a deacon. He was employed by Protection One/Westinghouse Security for many years, but his heart language was always ministry and service to others. In 2002, he found his true calling in service to senior adults at the Lakewood Village Retirement community in Fort Worth, a subsidiary of Christian Care Centers, serving until his retirement in 2008. Serving side by side with those who had genuine hearts for service at Lakewood Village brought great joy to his life. He was grateful for the opportunity to lovingly care for his residents and their families. He is survived by his wife, Heather O’Brien Miller and their son, C. Tanner Miller, an Eagle Scout with Troop 890, both of Dallas. He is also survived by his parents C. Todd and Suzanne Davis Miller, of Dallas; his brother, Steven and wife Christy, of Plano; his brother, Chris and wife, Carrie, of Dallas; his sister, Melanie Christian and her husband, Rusty, of Keller. Also surviving him are Heather’s parents, Hal and Dorothy O’Brien, of Dallas, and Heather’s sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Brad Woodson, of Dallas. He loved and cherished his nephews and nieces: Taylor Woodson, Blake Woodson, Kevin O’Brien, Will O’Brien, Jordan Miller, Katie Miller, Cameron Miller, Samuel Miller, Emily Miller, Reese Davis Miller, Lane Christian, Lindsay Christian, and Caden Christian. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the team of doctors and their staffs who lovingly cared for Todd: Dr. Steven Aronoff, Liz, Gracie and Julia, Dr. Martin Berk and Laura, Dr. John Early and CJ, Dr. Dwain Fuller, Dr. David Luterman, Tanya and Alesha, Dr. Alan Martin and Shema, Dr. H. Jake Porter, Dr. William Stevens, and Dr. Kelly Will and Rhonda. Todd was well served by the medical community in Dallas by his outstanding doctors who not only cared for his physical body, but also his spirit. The family also wishes to thank the Faith Presbyterian Hospice family, and especially Ben, his hospice nurse, for the sweet care they provided for him in his final months.
