Tom Harlan Branson's Obituary
Tom Harlan Branson, of Dallas, Texas, passed peacefully on February 28, 2025.
Tom was born in Dallas in 1934 to Teresa Annette Hamblett and Thomas Haskell Branson. Tom met his wife, Linda Stevenson, while in school at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas and they were married in October 1953. He worked in the family grocery business for a number of years before working for other grocers later in life and served in the US Army from 1956-58. He was a devoted father to five children, and nothing meant more to him than his family.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Michael. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Linda; his children, John, Kelly, Rich, Christina and son-in-law Brandon; and his brother Bill.
Upon his wishes, no service will be held, and his ashes will be inurned with his wife next to his parents at Restland Cemetery.
Tom was adored by all who knew him and set the standard for how to treat people and love others. His smile, kindness, charm, sense of humor, and love for his family will always be remembered.
