Tommie Hunsaker's Obituary
Tommie Clinton Hunsaker, 74, of Farmers Branch passed away peacefully on April 26th, 2019 with family members present. He was born in Sherman to Tommie Edward Hunsaker and Luller Lorene Heard. Tommie retired from Texas Instruments after 30 plus years. In his younger years, when he wasn’t working, he could be found enjoying his love of soccer by refereeing for the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Soccer Association. Tommie was a very active member serving at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for over 45 years.Tommie met Sharon, his bride of 51 years in the eighth grade and remained, continually faithful, and by her side, until her death in 2015. He has longed to be with Sharon since then. Although his family worked diligently to care for and stay one step ahead of him in caring for his needs, in true Tommie form, he snuck out silently to be with Sharon. All who knew him are better because of his gentle demeanor, faith, and humor. He touched the lives of everyone he met in the most positive manner, and did it with true grace. He leaves behind his brother, Willie; two sons, Jeffry and Jeremy; daughter-in-law, Stephanie and grandchildren, Stevie, Luke and Jarod. The visitation for Tommie will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service for Mr. Tommie Clinton Hunsaker will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
