Tracey Walters Monaghan's Obituary
Tracey Walters Monaghan passed away on October 21, 2022, surrounded by her family. Tracey was born July 28, 1963, in Vancouver, Canada, to Richard and Margaret Walters. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Walters. Tracey is survived by her husband of 38 years, John Monaghan; her children and their families, Holly, Stuart, and James Sharp, and Andrew and Ashlyn Monaghan; her mother, Margaret Walters; and her sister, Tamara Walters. She is also survived by many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tracey grew up in Southern California. Her tennis career led her to play at The University of Oklahoma where she met her husband John. They grew their family in Keller, Texas, where they lived for many years. Tracey was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who lived her life selflessly serving others. She loved her Sooners, granddogs, and birdwatching, but most of all cherished spending time with her family. In her last few years she witnessed both her children get married and the birth of her first grandson. Her family gave her the greatest joy in life. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her. She is now at rest with her beloved Lord and Savior. Her family and all who were blessed to have her in their lives will forever remember her legacy.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. in her honor.
