Travis Loyd Arnold's Obituary
Mr. Travis Loyd Arnold, age 90, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021, in Harrisburg, NC. He was born to Mr. Quincy Arnold and Ms. Olga Arnold on March 7, 1931, in Richardson, Texas. Travis leaves his loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.
Mr. Arnold was a veteran of the Korean War. After his retirement from Kraft/Heinz Foods he traveled to many parts of the U.S. and also overseas with his wife Myrtie Lou. Nothing made him happier than getting a visit from family, talking with them on the phone or Facetiming with them, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he adored. He was a lover of music, especially Country songs and we would often hear him making up his own songs. After moving to North Carolina in Februrary 2020 daughter Shelly and husband Tony got him interested in golf. He grew to like golf and got to know his favorite golfers. But his heart still belonged to football, a Dallas Cowboy fan for life. His hobbies were watching western movies and spending time with and talking with family.
He is survived by Son Mark Arnold & Wife Laura, Charlotte, NC., Stepson: Daniel Munselle, New Braunfels, Texas, Daughter-Shelly Mathes & Husband Tony, Harrisburg, NC., Daughter-Layne Munselle & Husband Daniel, New Braunfels, TX., Stepdaughters: Joni Berardino & Husband Peter of Austin/Teresa McLauglin & Husband Tom of Kyle, Tx., Stepdaughter: Jennifer Sparks & Husband Larry of Frisco, Texas, Stepdaughter: Sonya Rubin & Husband Mike of Rowlett, Texas, Sister-Betty James of Whitewright, Texas, Twelve grandchildren and Sixteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by spouse, parents, four brothers and five sisters
Visitation for Mr. Travis Loyd Arnold will be Friday, October 15, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park.
