Travis Tidwell's Obituary
Travis Tidwell, age 88, passed away on January 13, 2024, in Rowlett, Texas. He was born on October 2, 1935, in Clarksville, Texas to Dovie Lorene (Hines) and James Buford Tidwell. He was one of 17 children.
He is a veteran of the United States Navy. On June 9, 1956, he married Mary Ann Parks. They had a son, Ronnie and daughter, Sandra. Travis was a deacon at New Liberty Baptist Church. He loved cattle ranching, family, fishing, the outdoors and wildlife and riding the buggy to feed the fish.er
Travis is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Tidwell. He is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Kunce and Faye Hayes; son, Ronnie Tidwell; daughter, Sandra Butler; grandchildren, Teresa Atkins, Lee Ann Noland, Shelly Garner and Daniel Tidwell; great-grandchildren, Caden Garner, Peyton Garner, Mattie McKinney, Hailey Tidwell and one on the way and great great grandchild, Emory McKinney.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations, in Travis' memory, to Gideon Bibles.
He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.
