Troy was my sweet curmudgeon. We excelled together in private jokes, he trusted me with gravy, he scouted out countless places for all of us to eat, he built a special dining room in their home where we could all gather and enjoy many fabulous meals and stories, and our conversations were always open and honest. My treasure from Troy is the oil painting he made for me, and also one for Mary Jane and Kathy. Each painting represented how he felt about us and how he saw our lives. I will miss his laugh, his expertise in so many things and being able to be myself around him, warts and all and having him still love me! Rest well, my angel. Karen
Dear Mrs. Burkhalter, Kim and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. We hope that you find comfort in knowing that Troy is at peace now and that he is in a better place. Remember all the wonderful moments you spent with him and those memories will carry you through your sadness. May God bless you and give you peace now and always.
Connie—So sorry to hear about Troy's passing. Gosh, has it been 33 years since Lori & I peaked over the fence to watch you & Troy marry in the back yard of your parent's home? I remember your baby blue dress. So pretty! And with her two teen pals hanging on the fence, Amy could not help being distracted from her ceremonial duties. Just thinking back on that day makes me smile. Good memories make life bearable in the dark moments. All my best to you.
