Troy Joseph Usher's Obituary
Troy Joseph Usher received the gift of life and was born on April 10, 1943 to his parents, Charlie and Josephine Usher in Dallas, Texas. After moving to Waxahachie, Texas in 1945, the family were members of the parish of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Troy, along with his brother, Philip, attended school at Marvin Elementary, graduating in 1952. They both attended high school at St. John’s in Ennis, Texas and after graduating in 1961, Troy enlisted in the Army Security Agency and served in both Turkey and Japan. In 1964 he attended the University of Dallas where he met his future wife, Monique. After their marriage, Troy and Monique gave birth to and raised 5 children - Camille, Sophie, Melanie, Charles and Vanessa. Troy worked at Autohaus to support the family as they lived in the parish of St. Monica in Dallas. During these years, he and Monique strived to raise their children with faith and joy. After all their children were grown, he retired and he and Monique moved to St. Michael the Archangel parish in Garland. After suffering from illness for many months, Troy went to be with the Lord on Ascension Thursday, May 26, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Monique, his children, Camille, Sophie, Chuck, and Vanessa, his brother, Philip, and his grandchildren, Hannah, Riley, Kaitlyn, Paul, Zoe, Zane, Zimry, Josef, Jason and Hailey.
