Tsang Kow Tung's Obituary
Tsang Kow Tung (董增球), known as David, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 16, 2025, after battling dementia for seven years. Born in Hong Kong on October 21, 1957, David immigrated to Toronto, Canada before making Plano, Texas his home. He was a dedicated teacher, a cherished member of his church community, and a devoted family man.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering and provided for his family financially and as a homemaker. Before retirement, he drove a school bus for students with disabilities, taught Sunday school at Dallas Chinese Bible Church, and earned certifications in nutrition and theology from Alliance Bible Seminary.
David shared 36 years with his wife, Midi (林美德). Together, they raised two children: Melissa (董裕羚) and Alvin (董裕康), who is married to Stacy Lan (藍亨晴). David was looking forward to welcoming his first granddaughter in the spring.
David's faith brought him purpose and joy. He loved reading the Bible and leading his church’s community group. Later in life, he enjoyed singing 80s and 90s Cantopop, walking around the lake at Oak Point Nature Preserve, and caring for the family dog, Ollie.
David will be remembered for his faith, gentle demeanor, and diligence. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
