Tuan Van Truong's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Truong Van Tuan
March 10, 1950 – July 17, 2025
Truong Van Tuan, beloved father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025, in Irving, Texas, at the age of 75.
Born on March 10, 1950, in Vietnam to Nguyen Su Thi and Truong Bi Van, Tuan lived a life marked by resilience, dedication, and love. In the early 1980s, he married Tran Bay Thi, and together they shared nearly 40 years of marriage before recently parting ways. That same decade, he and Bay courageously left their homeland together in search of a better future, eventually settling in the United States where they built a life rooted in hard work and hope for the generations to come.
Tuan earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, a milestone that reflected his commitment to education and personal growth. Later in life, he pursued a new passion and became a licensed realtor, helping others find homes where they could build their own dreams.
He was a man who cherished time with his family and friends, always bringing warmth and laughter to those around him. His legacy lives on through his daughter, Michelle Lor, and his three beloved grandchildren Ava, Lana and Noah Lor. He is also survived by multiple siblings who will miss him dearly.
Tuan was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, whose memories he carried with him always.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, with cremation to take place at 11:00 AM.
Tuan’s life was a testament to perseverance, love, and the enduring strength of family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
