Uldene Dene Cragin's Obituary
Cragin, Uldene (Dene) Kilgore died January 31, 2013. She was born October 17,1923 in Wichita Falls, TX and was married to Joseph Cragin, Jr. of Wichita Falls, TX in 1949. Dene is preceded in death by parents, John A. Kilgore and Thelma Lambert Kilgore and sister, Allene Morris. Dene attended Draughon’s Business School, specializing in accounting, and later worked at the Sheppard Field Post Exchange Office as General Ledger Accountant for 18 Post Exchanges on the field. After WWII, she moved to Fort Worth and worked for Community Public Service Co. in the accounting department. After her marriage to Joe, Dene worked for Texas Country Day School St. Mark’s Preparatory School in Dallas. In 1957, Dene began working with her husband who owned and operated Rite Way Airmotive, Inc. at Addison Airport until 1995. She also worked part time at the JTM Studio of Performing Arts as Business Manager from 1979-2004. During her life, Dene was an active Member of Northway Christian Church where she was elected Elder Emeritus, and of the Dallas League of Women Voters where she served as a Board Member. She also was a member of Dallas Public School PTA Boards for 12 consecutive years. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jospeh; daughter, Deborah Cragin Broder and husband Bruce; son, Trent Cragin and wife, Janie Raulston; four grandchildren; Owen Broder, Collin Cragin, Anne-Kyle Cragin, and Luke Cragin; nephews; Joal Morris and wife, Deborah; Joseph Morris and wife, Contente; niece, Conde Morris Currat and husband, Ron. Other surviving family members are brother-in-law, Glen Cragin and wife, Diane; and their daughter, Kathy; Joyce Boyd. Visitation will be Monday, February 4, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Wildwood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 4, 2013 at Wildwood Chapel. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park. A reception will be held at Restland Funeral Home following the interment. Dr. Douglas Skinner will officiate the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Northway Christian Church or a charity of choice.
