Ulis Harold Bailey's Obituary
Ulis Harold Bailey passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020. He was born to Richard and Lula Bailey in Pattonville, Texas on January 18, 1922.
He attended Bogota High School in Red River County, He accepted Jesus as his Savior at the age of 19 at the First Baptist Church of Wolfe City, Texas. He served in World War II as a Cook in the #309 Bomb Wing of the 5th Air Force on the Pacific Front in the Philippines and Japan.
He worked for Neuhoff Brothers Packing Company and building maintenance for Schepps Dairy which he retired from.
During that time, he met Mrs. JoAnn Bailey at Beacon Street Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Bailey were married on May 21, 1965. They served faithfully for over 55 years in church. Bro Bailey's favorite bible verses are John 3:16 and Psalms 23. He say's "Go to church, pray and lead someone to the Lord". His favorite songs were "The Old Rugged Cross" and Sweet Hour of Prayer".
He was preceded in death by his mother Lula Bailey, father A. R. Bailey, sister Eva Jean Owen, and brother Dean Bailey. He is survived by his loving wife JoAnn Bailey, nephew Calvin and wife Marcia Bailey, numerous nephews and nieces. Loved by many friends and loved ones.
