Urser Ray Vandagriff Jennings passed from this world to enter Heaven’s Gate and be received by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 9:00am on April 3, 2018.Urser Ray (Mama) was born in Sherman, Texas January 15, 1925 and was the daughter of William and Myrtle Vandagriff. She was preceded in death by her loving and wonderful husband, E. Hobert Jennings March 23, 1995 and her parents William and Myrtle Vandagriff and her sister Vera DeLois Kerr.Urser leaves to lovingly remember her, daughter Sharon Mongaras and her husband Stan Mongaras, and their precious sons Evan Michael Stanley Mongaras and Stanley Francisco Mongaras. They will always remember her fully devoted love for her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.She was an amazing chef and was often told she should have opened a restaurant or bakery. She also loved to garden and enjoyed loving and taking care of her beautiful flowers and landscape.She was joined in holy matrimony with her beloved husband, Hobert Jennings in Sherman, Texas on August 6, 1949. She was employed as an accountant for over 50 years. Her husband was employed by McKesson and Robbins Pharmaceutical Company. They moved with the company to Amarillo, Texas, Silver City , New Mexico, El Paso, Texas and finally Dallas, Texas in 1962. They joined Royal Haven Baptist Church that same year. She will be remembered there for her tireless devotion and work for her church in the toddler nursery. She leaves a legacy and great passion for helping others and always reading her Bible every day and learning to love her Savior in an ever-increasing way. She would pray that we would remember Psalm 46:10. He says, “Be still, and know that I Am God ; I will be exalted among Nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Visitation and remembrance will be held Friday, April 6th from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Avenue in Dallas, Texas. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, April 7th at 3:00pm at Restland Funeral Home in the Abby Chapel, with graveside service following.
