Valerie Jean Simonds' Obituary
SIMONDS, VALERIE JEAN went to be with her Lord May 30, 2014 after a lengthy, courageous battle with brain cancer. God was gracious to bless her and us with more days as was her constant prayer. Valerie was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Doris Flach; and her older sister, Gretchen. She is survived by her husband, Randy; children, Ethan, Emily, Abigail, and Rachel; her siblings, Linda Dunn, Cyndie Lubbeck, Stephen Flach, and Gary Flach, along with brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Valerie lived her life for the glory of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and had a burning desire for as many to know Him as possible through the witness of her life and suffering for Him. Family will receive friends Monday, June 2, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Restland Memorial Chapel. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Legacy Brain Foundation.
