Vallie was always such a lovely lady. I loved getting to see her each Sunday and see how pretty she always looked. She took me in as if I'd grown up in the church-I married Buddy Smith, who did grow up at Walnut Hill UMC! She loved seeing our children also! What an accomplishment to be 99! I always enjoyed going to United Methodist Women Circle meetings with Vallie ever so many years ago and for many years. Vallie was always so kind and loving and I knew she cared that I was there with her whatever we were doing.
