Vance & I were assigned the dish washing duty at our church (Edmond First United Methodist) for wedding receptions because our wives headed up the receptions. We became quite proficient at our jobs & really enjoyed working together.
Vance was such a gentle soul with family when we gathered a few times in mixed Bridges/Hartigan events. He enjoyed laughing with us and while there were health challenges in later years he was always a gentleman. I didn’t get to spend much time with him but the times we did are good memories. What a wonderful person that loved his family so.
