Howard and Vannie were active, long time members of First Baptist Church Richardson. Vannie was a loving, caring person and was devoted to her dog, Daisy. She loved the Lord Jesus and her family unconditionally. She was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the delight of her life. She often kept her grandchildren and great grandchildren. As daughters, we never worried when they were with Grandmommy. Vannie was a strong woman who survived three cancers, the last being diagnosed in 1998. After declining health these past seven months, she went to be with Jesus. Survivors include daughters Carol Mitchell (A.L.), Rita Bonds (Carl), grandchildren Julie Mitchell Innmon, Doug Mitchell, Scott Bonds(Emily). Great grandchildren, Jeffrey Innmon, Drew Innmon, Chase Mitchell, Peyton Mitchell and Brody Bonds. Sister in law Irene Monroe and various cousins. Special thanks to the care givers during her last weeks which included Karen, Tim, Donella and Meme who were so caring and loving during her last days. Thanks also to the Atria Richardson who came along side of the care givers. The funeral service will be Monday, August 21, 2017 at Restland, Wildwood Chapel, Richardson, Texas.
