Vell Marie Money's Obituary
Vell Marie Money, of Irving, TX, a beloved and generous wife, mother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend left this earth on Saturday morning, January 7, 2017. She is now resting in the arms of God. Vell was born in Proctor, Arkansas and moved with her family to Florida at an early age. She was always friendly, adventurous, and had a vibrant personality. She was the oldest of her siblings and always “The Boss.” She graduated from Lake (FL) High School, where she had many friends. She met her husband, Mark Money, in Denver, Co and later moved to Texas. They were married for 36 years and where blessed with a beautiful daughter. Vell and Mark became members of Peace Church in Mesquite, where she remained faithful until she passed away. Vell enjoyed helping others, cooking, socializing and most of all traveling. She loved attending her family reunions, visiting museums and traveling abroad with her husband and daughter. Some of her favorite countries included Italy, England, Croatia, Mexico and Ireland. In August of 2015 she hiked to the top of Blarney Castle in Ireland. She was very proud of that moment. Her goal was to go to Holland. She was preceded in death by her parents James & Ollie Beatrice Terrell, Brother James B. Terrell III, Sister, Glinda Carol Allen; and Father-in-law, Bob Money. She is survived by her loving and caring husband, Mark and Her devoted daughter, Nicole Marie Money, both of Irving, TX; Mother–in-law, Juanita Money, Irving, TX; Sisters, Vivian Delois Terrell, Kennewick, WA, Teresa Terrell, West Memphis, AR ,Sheryl, Terrell, Lake Wales, FL; Brothers, Walter Terrell, Dothan, Al and Jimmy Terrell (Catherine), Sebring,Fl; Brother-in-laws, Brad Money (Lucia), Santa Barbara, CA and John Allen , Fort Myers, FL; Special “Sister-Cousin” Shirley Dawson, Memphis, TN; Aunts, Delcine Green, West Memphis, AR and Addie Green, Tampa, FL; God daughter, Jeannie Gaither, Dallas, TX; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins; Friends and Her Peace Church Family in Mesquite, TX; Classmates from Lake Placid (FL) High School, Friends and Birthday Club Members of Hackberry Creek, Irving TX; Many other friends, co-workers and loved ones. The family will receive friends Friday, January 13, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 13, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Vell Money will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Peace Church located at 2401 North Belt Line Road, Mesquite, TX 75150. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
