Velladine H. Moore's Obituary
MOORE, VAL, born June 21, 1924 in Decateur, Illinois and passed away April 12, 2007 in Dallas. Preceded in death by her sister, Pearl Anderson. Survived by her husband, Bill Moore; daughter, Margaret Sartain; son, Bill Moore, Jr.; grandsons, James Syring, William Corey Sartain; sister, Betty Yarber; brothers, Tom and Pete Harlow; and many nieces, nephews & other relatives. Val was married to her husband Bill for 62 years and was a member of the Walnut Hills church of Christ for 26 years. She was a graduate of Beauty School in Waco, TX, and worked many years as a beautician in the student union building at Baylor University. She also took art courses at New Mexico Junior college and among her hobbies were painting, crocheting and needlework. Val also loved to traveling and listening to southern gospel music. She was a great cook who was famous for her “mountain breakfast” she would fix for her friends and relatives who visited the family home in Ruidoso, NM.
