Velma Ree Farrell's Obituary
Velma Ree Farrell, aged 89, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in Richardson, Texas. She was born on July 19, 1935, in Irving, Texas, to Luther E. Borchardt and Virgie Viola Rice. She married the love of her life, Eugene J. Farrell, on February 16, 1957, embarking on a lifelong journey together. They shared a deep bond and created a beautiful family. Eugene, who preceded Velma in death, was a loving and devoted husband and father throughout their years together. They built a life full of love, support and countless cherished memories. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Borchardt, Thomas Borchardt and Lawrence Borchardt; sister, Thelma Starnes and her son, Michael Farrell.
Velma was deeply proud of her family and the love they shared. She is survived by her son, Mark Farrell of Carrollton, Texas and her daughter, Michelle Klaassens (Chris Klaassens) of Hollis, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Matthew Farrell, Spencer Farrell, Shelby Klaassens and Hailey Klaassens. She was a loving grandmother, and their lives were forever enriched by her presence.
There will be a viewing at Restland Funeral Home (13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243) on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 12:00 pm followed by a graveside service at 1:00 pm.
