Lynn Murray Mckinney
Dear Jim & Carolyn, Please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family. Although I'm no longer with Hillcrest House, Velma and I stayed in touch. It is my honor and priviledge to have Velma in my life. We had so many wonderful visits…apparently I was the only one who could get to hang out with me outside and we had tremendous fun together. She was always telling me she was "gonna kick my butt!" We had soooo many laughs together and she has touched my life in immeasurable ways. In fact, I wrote her a rather lengthy letter describing the impact she had on my life. It's most likely in her possessions…please feel free to read it if you find it. It will let you know how much your aunt meant to me. Again, please know that y'all and John & Nancy are in my thoughts and prayers. Velma, I shall miss you my dear friend. Godspeed and keep an eye on me. I love you more than "country ham and redeye gravy!"
