Venelle Prince's Obituary
Venelle Prince passed away peacefully on the evening of June 6 in Plano surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years Jack Prince, brother and sister-in-law Bill and Kathryn Powell and mother Vertice Glover. Venelle was born in McGregor, Texas and graduated from Hubbard High School in 1949. She then studied nursing and, following a residency at Providence Hospital in Waco, became a registered nurse. She married Jack on July 28, 1952 in Hubbard. They lived in Richardson, where they raised two children. An inspiration to many for her ability to tackle anything after a leg amputation in 1984, Venelle never let anything slow her down. She and Jack were active members of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. She served the church in many capacities including five decades as a volunteer at the church’s Clothes Horse Resale Shop. Venelle will lovingly be remembered by her daughter Kass Prince-Boleman, son Bill Prince, son-in-law Craig Boleman, niece and nephew-in-law Jana and Bruce Stafford and cousin Keitt Morris Wood. Memorial donations in memory of Venelle may be made to The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration (www.transfiguration.net).
